The challenge

Part of AutoNomy solution is a supervisor station, that allows the control center’s supervisor to view data from multiple stations and vehicles in parallel and perform day-to-day job. The challenge is to design the main screen of the supervisor dashboard.

The process

Target audience in this case- The supervisor

The supervisor is over the age of 24, might be a student, with manual gear drivers’ license (B license) with at least two years practice driving, and most likely has a deep technical understanding of vehicle systems. The supervisor has a clean driving record – no previous accidents/suspensions which might mean he is a cautious driver who obeys the law. The supervisor is managing operators that drives long hours and long distances.

The persona

John Doe
John, 33, married and father of 2 kids (8, 9.5). John has drivers license since the age of 16, never had accidents or suspensions. Since he was a kid, he was passionate about the technical aspects of vehicles. John works as a control center’s supervisor.

Pain Points
While supervising the control center, John needs to have a realtime view off all vehicles (+-50) in the fleet. He has to have view of all available stations in the control center. John needs to view all active sessions (between an operator an a vehicle) and the connectivity status widget that displays the connectivity level across the fleet and any connectivity alerts. From time to time, he might have to handle escalations coming from specific operators who need help.

Goals and needs

Monitoring the data from multiple stations and vehicles (+-50) in parallel and perform his day-to-day job (maintaining a high and satisfactory KPIs).

User Flow

After understanding the user’s needs, we can break it down into key features and general flow.

Key Features

Wireframe

After mapping the features I created wireframe.

Next steps
